As discussed with Bob Martin, (LGS Project Manager) and Anira Gill of the Core Perfonnanco Branch in the reference conference calI we request that LGS License Condition 92, Fuel Rod Prossure Limit, bo closed based on the recent resolution of this generic issue betwoon General Electric Cmpany and the NRC.
l General Electric's limit for fuel rod Internal gas pressure was submitted to the NRC for review in Anendment 7 to GE Licensing Topical Report NEDE-240ll-P-A dated February 25, 1983 and was accepted by the Coro Porfonnanco Branch.
The fuel bundles to be used in Limerick's initial core worn ovaluated using the GE fuoi roJ thennal - nochanical perfonnanco nodal (GESTR-iECHANICAL).
The results of this evaluation demonstrated that theso bundles meet GE's ilmit for fuel rod internal pressure.
Since the Limerick FSAR references tho appilcability of NEDE-240ll-P-A no revision to the FSNR is necessary and Licenso condition fl2 should now be closed.
