The purpose of the wells is to monitor and dowater the perched aquifer which under11on the pour S]ock. GGNS han experienced incidents where ground-wat er levels in excess of the current desip,n basis value of 109.0 fnot Mean Sea 1,cynt (MSb) have been repor;.ed.

On December 21, 1990 F.ntergy Oparnt'onn, Jne. provided a st atus report on the nfforts by GGNS to resolvo t.he groundwnter level isst.es at the site (reference: GNKO-90/00006, dnaed Danneber 21, 1990). GGNS also coinmit ted to provide resolution of 1he granndwater isnne by April 30, 1492.
