Dear Judge Smith,
I am writing to express my concerns about nuclear power in general, and the Byron plant in particular. My involvement is that of a fifty-five year old business person, a non-activist. As the reports have filtered past me, a few general impressions have been left in my mind:
1.
The citizens are paying for a terrible miscalculation made by Commonwealth Edison.
I find this fact to be a gross injustice.
Ordinary people are going to be forced to pay for Edison's mismanagement.
I 2.
I have a deep seated belief that the plant is unsafe, and this fact is being covered up to help avoid facing the consequences at this time.
It seems to me tihat many chief executives of our major corporations operate on the theory that if they can get by for one or two, or four more years, they can retire and leave the problems for someone else to i
face up to.
Respectfully, TELAMON, INC.
