By letter dated October 16,1995, Georgia Power Company (GPC) proposed to revise the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Unit 1 Technical Specifications (TS) to allow use of Option B of 10 CFR 50 Appendix J for Type B and C testing. The proposed change added a footnote to TS 4.6.1.2.d stating that the Type B and C tests scheduled for refueling outage IR6 will be conducted in accordance with Option B of 10 CFR 50, Appendix J, and using the guidance of Regulatory Guide 1.163, Revision O. However, the current version of Regulatory Guide 1.163 is not identified as Revision 0. The current version of Regulatory Guide 1.163 is identified by date, i. e., September 1995. Therefore, at the request of the NRC staff, GPC will revise our proposed footnote to TS 4.6.1.2.d to reference Regulatory Guide 1.163, September 1995. A revised marked-up page is attached for your use.
