Subject:

Waterford 3 SES Unit 3 Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Cycle 6 Reload Analysis Report Gentlemen:

The purpose of this letter is to submit the Waterford 3 Reload Analysis Report (RAR) for Cycle 6, which is included as the Attachment. Three copies are being transmitted. The RAR is being submitted because two previously analyzed events were not bounded by the Reference Cycle results, which are currently documented in the Waterford 3 FSAR. This situation resulted in an unreviewed safety question; although, these events remain within NRC acceptance criteria and no significant hazards are involved. The two events that are not bounded by the . Reference Cycle analyses are ,

the Large Break LOCA and the Excess Main Steam Flow With Loss of Offsite Power. The Cycle 6 analyses indicate that the consequences for the other previously evaluated events remain bounded by the Reference Cycle and also remain within NRC acceptance limits.

The Waterford 3 Cycle 6 reload requires no Technical Specification changes.
