RADIOLOGICAL EFFLUENT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Re:

San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No.1 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 79 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Unit No. 1.

This amendment _

is in response to your application dated December 12, 1983 as supplemented March 20, 1984 This amendment modifies the Technical Specifications to add the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (RETS) necessary to implement the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix I.

The Process Co'ntrol Program (PCP) for San Onofre Units 2 and 3 is presently under staff review. You have indicated that this same program is applicable to Unit 1.

Therefore, you should appropriately modify the PCP to reflect that it applies to all three units.

Proposed Change 115, submitted by letter dated March 30, 1983, will not be acted on as it has been superseded by issuance of the RETS as proposed in your December 12, 1983 and March 20, 1984 letters. This has been mutually agreed upon by the staff and Southern California Edison Company.

A Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for Hearing related to the requested action'was published in the Federal Resister on May 23, 1984 (49 FR 21839). No request for hearing was received anc no comments were received.
