SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SON) - NOTIFICATION OF CLOSURE OF GENERIC LETTER (GL) 89 SAFETY-RELATED MOTOR OPERATED VALVE SURVEILLANCE AND TESTING
Reference:
TVA letter to NRC dated November 26,1991, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) - TVA Response to NRC Inspection Report 91-18 Regarding Generic Letter (GL) 89-10" Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(f) and in accordance with item (m) of the subject GL, this letter provides notification that recommended Actions (a) thru (h) of GL 89-10 have been implemented for SON Unit 1.
TVA committed to have the SON Unit 1 GL 89-10 program implementation complete by the end of the Unit 1 Cycle 7 refueling outage. This commitmentis contained in TVA's referenced letter. The Unit 1 Cycle 7 refueling outage ended on November 11, 1995.
GL 89-10 requires licensees to notify NRC in writing within 30 days or the completion i
of the required actions described in the GL. This letter confirms TVA's completion of j
design-basis reviews, analyses, verifications, tests, and inspections performed to comply with the GL for SON Unit 1.
