Dear Mr. Thomas:

Thank you for your letter of July 26, 1984 reminding us that our Operating License No. R-2 expires on June 30, 1985, and that our application to renew this license must be received before June 1,1985 We are presently preparing the application to renew our license and we will include in this application the documentation requested in your July 26, 1984 letter. We will deIconstrate that the reactor can continue to be operated safely and without adverse environmental impact. We plan to submit _our application for license renewal during the first quarter of 1985.

Dr. S. H. Levine is responsible for preparing the renewal application and he will keep Mr. Harold Bernard of your office informed of our schedule as we progress in~its preparation. If you have further questions, you may contact Professor Levine at (814)-865-3110.
