SUFFOLK COUNTY'S RESPONSE TO NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE TESTIMONY
.The subject Motion accurately states that Suffolk County does
.not object to the Motion..However, to fully reflect the County's viewsias expressed to counsel for the Staff, we should advise the Board and the parties that our lack of objection is based solely upon the fact that the' Motion provides for at least 15 days between'the~ requested filing date of the_ Staff's-testimony (August
'31)'and the proposed commencement date of the hearing (September 17).
Suffolk County does not seek any delay.in~the hearing.
We would. object to any change inlthe schedule which reduces the minimum 15-day period provided by 10 C.F.R. @ 2.743(b).
This
