Protection Anainst Malevolent Use of Vehicles At Nuclear Power Plants Ladies and Gentlemen:

In accordance with the requirements of amendments to the 10 CFR 73 final rule entitled

" Protection Against Malevolent Use of Vehicles at Nuclear Power Plants," a summary description of Southern Nuclear Operating Company's (SNC's) proposed method of compliance for FNP was submitted for your information on February 21,1995. Subsequently, SNC is submitting changes to the design details previously submitted to the NRC (see attachments). In accordance with 10 CFR 50A(b)(4), the signed original and three copies are being provided to the NRC Document Control Desk in Washington, DC, and two copies are being provided to the NRC Region II Office.

The conclusions of the proposed vehicle control measures summary description and vehicle bomb comparison results enclosed in the February 21,1995, SNC letter to the NRC remain valid.
