REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR SUBMITTAL OF RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 84-15 Reference Generic Letter 84-15, Proposed Staff Actions to Improve and Maintain Diesel Generator Reliability, signed by D. G.
Eisenhut, dated July 2, 1984 Union Electric is responding to the provisions in the referenced generic letter regarding an extension of time for the submittal of the information requested therein.
Union Electric will not be able to provide the information until October 31, 1984 and hereby requests an extension from the predetermined September 30, 1984 submittal date.
An extension of one month is required to support the estimated amount of time expected to prepare the response, without impacting the. current workload and initial startup schedule.
The current workload. supports surveillance require-monts testing and surveillance-related work necessary for callaway's initial ascension to power.
It is anticipated that the callaway response, prepared within the extension, if allowed, will include adequate information to address the items requested in the referenced generic letter.
