COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) - UhlT 2 DOCKET NO. 50-446 INCOMPLETE FUSION ON TUBE STEEL SEAM WELD SDAR CP-91-009 (FINAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On October 22, 1991. TV Electric identified a defect involving incomplete l
fusion in the manufacturer's seam weld on : tube steel member.
Our last report, lo9ged TXX-91464. dated December 20, 1991, stated that the reportability evaluation for this issue would be completed by June 24, 1992.
The evaluation has concluded that the pipe support utilizing the defective tube steel member (FW 2-020-700-C52R) would perform it's intended function during design operating and accident conditions.
Therefore, no substantial safety hazard exists and this issue is not reportable pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e) or 10CFR21.
Records documer ting this evaluation are available onsite for NRC review.
