Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Technical Specification Amendment No. 78 On October 20, 1982, NRC Reactor Operating Branch No. 4 issued Amendment No. 78 to TMI-1 Operating License No. DPR-50/289. This amendment is not effective however, until 60 days after the Commission accepts the Licensing Board's recommendations as set forth in Partial Initial Decision dated December 14, 1981 or restart, whichever is earlier. This presents cumbersome administrative prc'lems in that Technical Specification Change Requests, and subsequent amendments, may involve pages which are affected by Amendment No.
- 78. Since Amendment No. 78 is not yet effective the associated changes would not be reflected in subsequent amendments.
GPUN therefore requests immediate implementation of Amendment No. 78. THI-1 is currently in full compliance with the provisions of this amendment.
