Dear Mr. Stolz:
Under separate cover, we are transmitting three (3) original and forty (40) conformed copies of an application for Amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
This application requests that the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 License NFP-3 Appendix A, be revised to reflect the changes attached.
The attachment identifies the change, Safety Evaluation and Significant Hazards Consideration for the Integrated Living Schedule Plan (ILSP).
The proposed amendment would:
- 1) optimize the allocation of TED and NRC resources among those activities necessary to assure the continued safe, reliable and economic operation of Davis-Besse; and 2) achieve the appro-priate balance and prioritization between TED initiated activities and NRC required activities, thereby providing a rational basis for planning, scheduling and implementing necessary plant betterment projects at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station.
This amendment request involves a change to the License. Enclosed is a check for $150 as requested by 10CFR170.12.
