Documentation of Disciplinary Actions
Dear Mr. Collins:
-At-the June 25, 1984 meeting, one-of the matters discussed was
-providing the NRC with documentation regarding disciplinary action that has been taken by Public Service Company with respect to its employees at Fort St. Vrain.
Our proposal, and the supporting rationale, are set forth below.
We do not question the NRC's valid interest in obtaining necessary
-information relevant to execution of its duties, and Public Service Company is. willing to cooperate with the NRC for that purpose. As e
for documentation of disciplinary action taken with respect to l
Jspecific employees,-however, Public Service Company is concerned L
about the particular employee's right of privacy and the lack of protection from the ' release of information to the general public under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
In order to strike an appropriate balance between these competing interests,'we suggest the following procedure:
When information regarding disciplinary action has been requested and a particular employee is involved, Public Service Company will submit to the p
