Reference:
ULNRC-2378, dated March 15, 1991 The referenced letter transmitted an amendment application to revise Technical Specifications 3/4.6.1.1 and 3/4.6.1.2 and a partial exemption request from the testing requirements of 10CFR50, Appendix J.
The purpose of this transmittal is to withdraw our request to revise Surveillance Requirement 4.6.1.2a, the requirement to conduct three Type A tests (Overall Integrated Containment Leakage Rate) at 40 1 10 month intervals.
Our decision to withdraw this request is based on our conversations with the Staff and the forthcoming revision to 10CFR50, Appendix J that will address testing interval requirements.
provides the revised Proposed Technical Specification Changes to the original submittal.
The attachment shows the originally subiaitted changes and indicates the areas of change in this submittal.
The conclusions of the complete Safety Fvaluation and Significant Hazards Evaluation transmitted by Reference ULNRC-2378 remain valid.
Very truly yours, Donald F.
