APPLICANTS' REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF FILING DEADLINE On November 2, 1984 the Licensing Board issued a Memorandum (Attorney-Dictated Testimony) requiring the Applicants to discuss certain matters concerning the appropriateness of counsel
-dictating draft testimony.
The Memorandum was served on November 5,
1984 and arrived at the offices of Applicants' counsel the following day at noon.
The Memorandum specified that Applicants were to respond to it by November 6.
Applicants hereby request an extension of time until 1 Thursday, November 8, 1984 by which to respond to the Memorandum.
Applicants' counsel who was directly involved with the testimony referred to in the Memorandum is currently out of town, which will delay the preparation of Applicants' response.
- Moreover, the Memorandum was received by Applicants' counsel on the same day that Applicants' response was due.
Accordingly, Applicants 8411070209 841106 PDR ADOCK 05000445 h

submit that good cause exists for granting the extension of time.
Further, no party will be prejudiced should the extension be granted.
.The Staff has indicated that it does not object to this request.
The Intervenor, however, has not-consented to an extension of time.
Respectfully submitted, 04 frk McNefl1 Watkins, If" Sanford L. Hartman BISHOP, LIBERMAN, COOK, PURCELL & REYNOLDS 1200 Seventeenth Street, N.W.
