Docket No. STN 50-482 Ref: KMLNRC 83-148 dated 11/21/83 from GLKoester, KG&E, to HRDenton, NRC Subj Wolf Creek Generating Station Emergency Plan

Dear Mr. Denton:

The Referenced letter provided information that was being incorporated into the Final Safety Analysis Report for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS). On page three of the attach-ment to that letter, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) stated in response to Item 2 of Section 13.3.2.8 that an arrangement with a "First order station" of the National Weather Service would be in place by June,1984. That date was established to support the scheduled emergency exercise date of June 15, 1984. The exercise has since been rescheduled and the arrangement with the National Weather Service has not yet been completed. KG&E is currently pursuing this matter and will have an arrangement with the National Weather Service by Fuel Load.

Yours very truly,

/aF Zih Glenn L. Koester Vice President - Nuclear GLK:bb xc PO'Connor (2)
