Pursuant to Generic Letter 95-07, " Pressure Locking and Thermal Binding of Safety-Related Power-Operated Gate Valves", Entergy Operations, Inc. is submitting this required 60 day response letter as notification that Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) intends to implement the requested actions of the generic letter.

GGNS will implement the actions requested in GL 95-07 on the following schedule:

By November 15, 1995 complete the screening evaluations to identify potentially susceptible valves and document operability basis or take action in accordance with Technical Specifications.

By February 13, 1996 complete further analysis and identify corrective actions required to ensure susceptible valves are capable of performing their intended safety function.

The 180 day response to Generic Letter 95-07 will provide the information requested by the generic letter and a completion schedule for any planned equipment or procedural modifications.
