Dear }fr. Martins-Mr. Charle a Martin of Philadelphia Eleotric Company gave me copy of KUDDG 0974, as it relates to the new Limrick Reactor in 4

Penns ylvania. Am thankful for the good report.

We have in our vicinity a subversive organization named Del-Aware, which has been very active in its opposition to Limriok. It has spread falso rumors among the people of tle area, and seeks to create an unfavorable sentiment for the avened purpose of destroy-in6 the project. For example, one of the rumore is that if Limrick towers start operations, there will be nc more snow, since the heat generated will raise th emperature in winter to the -point that snow will be impossible This same orEanization spread the false rumor regarding the new punping station at Pt. Pleasant, Pa., that if the pumping station is oompleted, tte re will be no mor e fish in the Delsurare river, and that three quarters of the water of the river will be diverted, thus ruining the scenio and ecological aspects of_ the area. These frlse ani rediculous statements are actually believed by many, perhaps most of the people. Though they are rebuttad by gocd scientifio authorities, the se hot-headed, subversive activists, keep -ight on putting them out.

They have gone to the governor, the PUC, the Envirornnetal Department in Lashington, and in fact to all eschelons of government, and have intimideted our officials in this area, until they have done some very rediculous things. They are taving a " gate olcsing ceremony' for the pumping station, fo instance, on the Eth. in spite of the fact that on July lith, a judge is going to rule on the legality of such a closing. -It is such unreasonable thirge, together with the patent misuse of the funds saved to comple to this projaot, that has ouused the citisenry of this area much concern, and much los s of time atxl money. We are happy to hear of any favorable action on Linrick and the new nuclear reactors at the Philadelphia 31eotrio Plant.
