JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS SEPTEMBER There were no unit shutdowns or significant power reductions during the month of September.

The following major ~ safety-related maintenance was performed in_ the month of September:

1.

Performed-miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance on diesel generators.

2.

Continued removing old fuel storage racks from the spent fuel pool.

They will be replaced by high density storage racks to increase the capacity to 1407 fuel assemblies.

RE: Joseph H. Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 1 Monthly Operating Data Report Attached are two (2) copies of the September 1984 Monthly Operating Report for Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit 1, required by Section 6.9.1.10 of Appendix A of the Technical Specifications. As requested by letter from Mr. John F. Stolz to Mr. Alan R. Barton, dated October 21, 1977, a "Harrative Summary of Operating Experience" is included in the attached report. Also attached is a corrected copy of the Unit 1 Shutdowns and Powers Reductions for the month of August.
