This letter is in response to a telephone conversation with Dr.
A. Bournia of your staff [Ref. (8)], and supplements the LaSalle County Station proposed Technical Specification change transmitted by Reference (7)..This supplement has received both On-Site and Off-Site review and approval.

H. R. Denton October 5, 1984 Reference (7) requested removal of the Reactor Water Cleanup High Differential and High Ambient Temperature isolations from the Technicial Specifications.
NRR requested additional information [ Reference (8)]
with regards to the diversity of leak detection methods which will be remaining when the Reactor Water Cleanup (RWCU) pump room differential and ambient temperature isolations signals are removed from the Technical Specifications.
The methods are listed in Reference (4).
These methods are:
(1)
RWCU System high differential flow-automatic (2)
Reactor low-low water level (level 2)-automatic (3)
Reactor Building Sump high level-alarm, operator action to isolate These are the same isolation methods which are provided for all other cold portions of the RWCU System.
Three (3) signed originals and thirty-seven (37) copies of this-
-letter are provided for your use.
