GEORGIANS AGAINST NUCLEAR ENERGY MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF COMMENT DEADLINE ON GEORGIA TECH' S 4
i MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE CHANGES i
Georgians Against Nuclear Energy (GANE) respectfully submits this i
request for a deadline extension beyond Friday, October 6, 1995, as i
set forth in the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's Memorandum and Order dated September 26, 1995. The deadline was established for submitting comments on Georgia Tech's recent management structure change and its effect (if any) on our contention #9 in the matter of Georgia Tech's request to renew its expired license for another 20 years.
GANE requests that the deadline be extended to Friday, October 20, 1995.
GANE contacted Judge Bechhoefer by telephone call today to present d
l this request. Judge Bechhoefer presented that the request would be granted if the other parties agreed, but at the minimum the other parties necicd to be notified so that they could enjoy the same time extension.
GANE was unable to converse with either Sherwin Turk, NRC Counsel,
~
or Patricia Guilday, Esq. for the State of Georgia Attorney General's Office today to establish their feelings about the granting of an extension, but explicit information was left with their offices so p0gs 9510120068 951004 PDR ADOCK 05000160 Q

that they are' informed as to our intent to extend the deadline, and they may avail themselves of the same extension if they wish.
GANE strongly wishes to see the proceedings move quickly a nd hopes no other party is adversely affected by this extension request. Travel I
an'd other constraints have made it not possible for GANE to fully consider Georgia Tech's management structure changes and comment at I
this time.
Respectfully' submitted, l
