Docket No. 50-277 50-278 Mr. John F. Stolz, Chief Operating Reactors Branch #4 Division of Licensing U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555

SUBJECT:

Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station -

Units 2 and 3

Dear Mr. Stolz:

Enclocod for your review are six copies of the pump and valve testing portion for the next 120-month ISI interval which has been developed in accordance with ASME Section XI 1980 Edition through Winter 1981 addenda.

The non-destructive examination (NDE) portion for Class 1, 2 and 3 components for the next interval was forwarded to you on May 24, 1984. However, the cover letter for that submittal apparently became separated from the six NDE program manuals in the mailing process. NRC receipt of the NDE program, in a timely manner, has been confirmed via telephone conversations between Gerald A. Gears of your staff and the Philadelphia Electric Company Licensing Section Staff.

The second 120-month ISI intervals begin on July 6, 1984, and December 13, 1984, for Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3, respectively. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.55a (g) , the program has been revised to reflect the requirements of the 1980 Edition of ASME Section XI with addenda through Winter 1981 and your letter dated May 2, 1983.

We recognize that the first 120-month interval for Unit 2 expires during the end of cycle 16 outage for that unit. All' inspections required during the first interval will be- completed 8407090094 840628 NY PDR ADOCK 05000277 /
