Dear Mr. Stolz:
This is in response to your letter dated April 23, 1984, (Log No. 1497) concerning response to Generic Letter 81 Natural Circulation Cool-down. Toledo Edison was requested to provide a schedule for requested information to assure that the intent of Generic Letter 81-21 is met for Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1.
Toledo Edison is a member of the B&W Owner's Analysis Subcommittee. They meet in early June and will develop a position on Natural Circulation Cooldown. The report will address the cooldown rate for both lower and raised loop B&W plants. The owner group position will be submitted by the owner's group or the individual utility in September.
Toledo Edison will either endorse the submitted report or submit it separately by the end of September, 1984.
