Proposed Administrative Technical Specification Change Gentlemen:
Recent facility organization changes have been proposed and evaluated for the Farley Nuclear Plant management which impact Figure 6.2-2 of the Unit 1 and 2 Technical Specifications. Alabama Power Company therefore submits this proposed Administrative Technical Specification Change in order to imglement these management changes.
It is proposed that Figure 6.2-2 be changed to reflect two Assistant Plant Managers:
an Assistant Plant Manager responsible for Operations, Maintenance and Technical Support, who will be required to hold a Senior Reactor Operator's License and a new Assistant Plant Manager who will have responsibility for Administration, Training, and Performance and Planning.
This change will provide the Assistant Plant Manager, responsible for the operation of the Farley Nuclear Plant, greater frecdom from administrative and non-operations related responsibilities. This greater freedom will allow more management attention to be focused on the safe operation of the two Farley Nuclear Plant Units and therefore will enhance safety.
