Generating Plan Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR). This submittal is

provided on a replacement page basis and is accompanied by an effective page list that identifies the current pages of the UFSAR. This Revision 5 reflects changes through l
March 31,1995.
l Revision 5 reflects the removal offigures that are reproductions of controlled engineering drawings. The UFSAR text now refers to these controlled drawings by their plant identification numbers in lieu of the figura numbers that previously appeared in the text. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.59, a safety evaluation was prepared which determined that no unreviewed safety question exists regarding this change to the UFSAR.
p The controlled drawings reflected in figures that were previously included in a UFSAR d
have quickly become outdated, in some instancc: prior to submittal to the NRC. This occurs because 10 CFR 50.71(c) allows the revision to reflect plant changes up to a l
maximum of 6 months prior to the date of submittal. Also, considering 18-month UFSAR l
revision schedule, the figures in the UFSAR may be as much as 24 months out of date.
Incorporating the controlled drawings by reference encourages the document user to O
