ASIJF NO. 93-671-CIA-3 1
AFFIDAVIT OF GEORGIE L FREDEQCK I, Georgie R. Frederick, being duly sworn, state as follows:
I 1.
My current address is 184 stone Mill Drive, Martines, Georgia 30937, 2.
I as employed by Georgia Fower Company as Manager-in-Training, assigned to the Cperations Department as an on-Shift Unit Supervisor, at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant near Waynesboro, Georgia.
3.
The Board requested, at Tr. 11250 (Aug. 15, 1995*,
that I provide a statement regarding my recollection of a l
recommendation J made to keep a special record of diesel testing activities following the site Area Energency at the vogtle Electric Generating Plant.
4.
I made the following statement recorded by Mr.
Mosbaugh on June 29, 1993:
"I recall sitting in the war room the night of the event recommending that we keep a detailed log of everything we do, then we can reconstruct it.
And it worked for 24 hours2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
and they decided that -- somebody decided it's too 9510030179 950928 PDR ADOCK 0500tA'4 o

cumbersome, too much work."
CPC Exhibit II-44 (Greene Ex. B) at 31.
5.
My best recollection is thet the statement I was recalling on June 29, 1990 was made during a meeting of the Event Review Team on March 20, 1990.
6.
I recall recommending that a log be atintained at the diesel generator containing all of the testing and maintenance activities on the etiesel generator following the event.
7.
As retlected in ny recorded statement above, I believe the log was initiated but then discontinued a day later.
My recollection is that several days after making this reconnendation I learned that the log had bewn discontinued because the normal plant documentation, such as maintenance work orders, was deemed sufficient to document this information, r&p/
