Attantion: Mr. James P. O'Reilly Gentlemen:
In the letter referenced above, Georgia Power Company indicated that the corrective action to be taken relative to the subject substantial safety hazard and significant deficiency would be submitted to the NRC on or about June 5, 1984. Georgia Power Company has received a recommended corrective action from Transamerica Delaval Inc. (TDI); however, TDI has subsequently notified us that they are reevaluating the recommended corrective action previously sent and will issue a revised recommended corrective action upon completion of the reevaluation.
TDI estimates that the revised recommended corrective action will be issued in mid-June.
Based on these developments, Georgia Power Company wishes to extend the submittal date for the final corrective action report for this concern to August 17, 1984.
