'Ihis letter confinns the verbal understanding reached between Pottstown Menorial Medical Center (PWC) and Philadelphia Electric  !

Company (PECD).

PMMC agrees to respond to PECD requests to provide hospital <

. treatment for victins of radiological accidents, including contaminated individuals frcm the Linarick Generating Station. PMMC also agrees l

to maintain its capacity to respond to these incidents, making appro-pr' 4te personnel available for training and participation in emergency .

It is the understanding of PMMC that PECO agrees to the following:

3. 'Ib pmvide procedures for the handling, treatment and decon-tamination of an injured or ill patient from the Limerick i r

' Generating Station. '

4. To perfonn a se,mi-annual inventory of equipment and facilities.
5. 'Ib pmvide for the removal from P&NC of all contaminated waste l' ~

msulting from radiological accidents involving PECD personnel or facilities, i

6. 'Ib provide nonitoring for radioactive contamination, and decon-tamination requimd as a msult of incidents involving individuals from Limerick Generating . Station, and to repair or replace equipment and facilities which in PECD judgment are not decontaminable to Nuclear Regulatory Conmission standards for unrestricted use, or are damaged by PECD decontamination efforts.
7. 'Ib provide a PECO-qualified Radiation Protection Technician at the hospite,1, for each incident, in the ambulance or at least upon arrival of the ambulance at PMMC.

8 To provide or arrange for ambulance service.
