Purpose:

Public Teleconference on Spent Fuel Performance Margins Date: April 16, 2020 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of this teleconference is to continue dialogue on recommendations contained in the Nuclear Energy Institutes white paper on Spent Fuel Performance Margins dated November 8, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML19318D971). This workshop will build upon discussions held during the January 22, 2020, public workshop (see summary at ADAMS Accession No.) and March 25-26, 2020 public workshop (summary to be issued within 30 days of workshop).

During this teleconference, representatives from the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) will present on recommendations for future work related to guidance surrounding Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 72.122(h), which pertains to protection against gross rupture. This presentation will include a discussion of the format or process for future interactions on this topic.
