50-328 In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p) we are providing, pursuant to 10 CFR 50 90, five copies (Nos. 6 through 10) of a proposed revision to the Physical Security Plan (PSP) for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (Enclosure 1).
This proposed amendment would incorporate the Power Block Concept, as well as other changes, into the PSP for Sequoyah. We request that you provide an expeditious review of this mquest in order that we may begin to implement this mvision at Sequoyah on September 1, 1984. We will complete implementation of the revision within 90 days after receipt of NRC approval. Please document your acceptance of this implementation period in your response to this request for license amendment.
In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have determined the proposed amendment to be Class III for unit 1 and Class I for unit 2.
These classifications are based on the facts that the changes involve a single-safety issue and the dianges apply to two identical units on the same site. The remittance fee of $4,400 is being wired to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Attention: Licensing Fee Management Branch.
The enclosed information is being sent by registered mail. The signed receipt signifies that you have received this information and acknowledge that it contains safeguards material and should be withheld from public disclosure as defined by 10 CFR Part 73 21.
This receipt will also be taken as verification that your copies of the plan have been updated and the superseded material has been destroyed.
The proposed license amendment has been evaluated pursuant to the require-ments of 10 CFR 50.92. As stated in Enclosure 2, no significant hazards considerations are involved.
