Letter from P Piet (CECO) to the U.S. NRC, dated October 11, 1991.
Dear Dr. Murley:
In the referenced letter, LaSalle County Station requested a one-time exemption from the need to accelerate the schedule for performing an ndditional containment integrated leak rate test (CILRT) at LaSalle County Station Unit 2 (LaSalle), as required by 10 CFR 50, Appendtx J,Section I!!.A.6(b). At this time, however, Commonwealth Edtson (Ceco) wishes to formally withdraw our exemption request from further consideration.
He regret any inconveniences this may have caused your staff.
However, CECO still wishes to pursue the companion Technical Specification Amendment for Surveillance Requirement 4.6.1.2, transmitted in the referenced document.
It is requested that the processing of this Amendment request proceed as normal, If there are any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please direct them to this office.
