Dear Mr. Stolz:
The reference letter forwarded to the Commission h
Philadelphia Electric Company's plans for a Radiation Protection Program for recirculation and RHR piping replacement on Peach Bottom Unit 2.
Subsequent to this submittal, the NRC issued Generic Letter 04-07, " Procedural Guidance for Pipe Replacement at BWR's".
At a presentation to the Region I Office of Inspection and Enforcement on April 5, 1984, the staff requested us to furnish a detailed description of pre-planning procedures, shielding, equipment, personnel training, estimated total cumulative dose and other measures to be taken to keep exposures as low as reasonably achievable.
In accordance with Generic Letter 84-07 and subsequent discussions with the NRC staff, attached is a detailed description of our radiation protection program to be implemented during the Unit 2 pipe replacement.
