INSTALLATION STATUS ASSESSMENT UPDATE MANPOWER For the week ending April 27, Bechtel had 117 field engineers performing status assessment.

Forecast for upcoming weeks remains at about 100 field engineers performing status assessment.

NONCONFORMANCES RESULTING FROM STATUS ASSESSMENT This month, Eechtel completion teams wrote 330 NCRs as a result of status assessment.

As of 4/27/S4, 616 NCR's have been validated from Bechtel's status assessment activity.

QUALITY VERIFICATION PROGRAM UPDATE SUMNARY The Quality Verification Program completed its fifth month of reinspection on April 27, 1984.

Reinspection continued in modules 800 (Service Water Building), 340 (Unit 2 Containment),180 (Aux Building Roof),120 (Elev 584 Aux Building) and 102 (East Pipe Way) this month.

Reinspections were performed in modules 900 (Yard), 200 (Aux Building Roof),140 (Elev 614 Aux Building) and 130 (Elev 599 Aux Building) to complete reinspection started in released modules.

The reinspections to support the, Turbine Roll Milestone have been completed this month.

Reinspections continue to support the module priorities while encountering no difficulties.

3 The number of inspections completed and nonconformance reports issued for the period and totals to date are shown below.

DISCUSSION BY MODULE Module 800: At peak there were approximately 15 Civil, Electrical and Mechanical inspectors reinspecting in module 800 during this month.

There were 215 Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) initiated making a total to date of 407 NCRs.

No new significant quality attribute problem was identified this month.

Module 340: At peak there were approximately 33 Civil, Electrical and Mechanical inspectors reinspecting in module 340 during this month. There were 66 NCRs initiated making a total to date of 195 NCRs. No new signifi-cant quglity attribute problem was identified this month.

Module 120: At peak there were approximately 12 Civil, Electrical and Mechanical inspectors reinspecting in module 120 during this month.

There were 106 NCRs initiated making the total to date 127 NCRs. No significant quality attribute problem was identified this month.

Module 102: At peak there were approximately 20 civil, Electrical and Mechanical inspectors reinspecting in module 102 during this month.

There were 74 NCRs initiated making the total to date 92 NCRs. No significant quality attribute problem was identified this month.

Module 900: The Mechanical inspectors were reinspecting in module 900 to complete reinspections that were initiated in module 800. There were no NCRs written.

Module 200: The Mechanical inspectors were reinspecting in module 200 to complete reinspections that were initiated in module 120. There were no NCRs written.

Module 140: The Mechanical inspectors were reinspecting in module 140 to complete reinspections that were initiated in module 102. There were no NCRs written.

Module 130:

The Electrical inspectors were reinspecting in module 130 to complete reinspections that were initiated in module 120. There was one NCR written which did not identify a significant quality attrfbute problem.

NCR REVIEW The NCRs in the Civil discipline generally pertain to the soundness of l

placed concrete and grout.

The NCRs in the Mechanical discipline generally relate to workmanship (ie., porosity, surface appearance and are strikes).

l The NCRs in the Electrical discipline generally relate to damage, incorrect dimensions and lack of inspection criterion.
