Revised Schedule for Completion of Commitments Gentlemen:

The purpon of thie letter is to provide a revised schedule for the completion of actions committed to in the references.

The revised schedule is primarily due to an unscheduled outage that began on February 19._

1992 and continued:through March 27, 1992. The resources necessary to meet these L

commitmente were required in support of -the unscheduled _ outage.

extension of these cornmitments was discussed between Mr.

Reference 1 committed to review and implement enhancements to the operability determination process byP ch 31, 1992.

Various Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC.

disciplines have.

reviewed-the available guidance on nonconforming conditions and operability and

- determined the need ti enhance the entire process.

Due to this expanded scope. and the unscheduled outage, the effort will be completed by May 29, 1992.

4 Reference 2 transmitted a License Event Report 91-017-01 concerning a Fuel Building /Auxi'iary Building pressure boundary door found open without a continuous' watch having been established. As part of the corrective actions y

~ associated with this event, WCNOC committed to evaluate and implement _any l-

< additional long-term programmatic enhancements by March 31, _ 1992.

An administrative procedure has. been drafted which provides the necessary.

controls for doors utilized to prevent a breach in a fire barrier, fire zone L

barrier, pressure boundary or security barrier.

The reviews of the l

procedure are in process and will be completed by April 30.-1992.
