Enclosed is a description of those improvements and the compliance schedule for completion of scheduled improvements. If you have any questions, please call Jim Domer at FTS 858-2725.
To the best of my knowledge, I declare the statements contained herein are complete and true.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSE FOR INSPECTION REPORT NOS.
50-259/83-33, -260/83-33, AND -296/83-33 R. C. LEWIS' LETTER TO H. G. PARRIS DATED SEPTEMBER 21, 1983 Evaluation of the specific concerns addressed in our original response was completed in December 1983 Based on that evaluation, several program improvements have been or are being implemented.
The plant's method of handling the shift technical advisor (STA) reading file was revised on December 29, 1983, to ensure that all STAS are familiar with relevant reading material and information.
Quarterly meetings are also held with all STAS to discuss program improvements, problems, and specific STA responsibilities.
A formal STA shift turnover procedure will be established. As an interim measure, on-shift STAS presently perform verbal shift turnovers with their replacements before the completion of each of their shifts. These verbal shift turnovers will continue until the formal standard practice procedure is issued. Better definition of STA duties and responsibilities will also be formally covered in the same standard practice.
Full compliance will be achieved by May 15, 1984, when the standard practice instruction covering these STA concerns are formally
~;
issued.
