Gentlemen:
Entergy Operations, Waterford 3, on March 21, 1991 submitted a response to the NRC, let ter W3F1 0227, describing an alternative approach for the restoration of the emergency diesel generators after an Silo. The letter in part str.ted that OP-009-002 would be revised to incorporate information about maintenance of the portable air compressor. In lieu of incorporating maintenance requirements into un operations procedure, periodic testing of the diesel to ensure continued operability will be defined and performed by preventative maintenance tasks. The portable air compressor was tested on April 4,1991, for capacity and operability. Preventative maintenance tasks for the portable air compressor will be established by July 1, 1991.
