FIRE DAMPER OPERABILITY TESTING In a telephone discussion with Mr. V. Benaroya on May 17, 1984, Mr. A. C.
Passwater of my staff agreed to the following:
" Applicant commits to evaluate a program (if necessary) to test the operability of a representative sample of fire dampers on a pe.riodic basis".
It is our understanding that a statement of the commitment will be included in the final SER for fire protection prior to licensing.
_It is also our understanding that the deferrals requested in our letter ULNRC-814 dated May 7, 1984 have been approved.
