Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 2 Docket No. 50-417 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/15525/15526/16694.4 PRD-83/10, Final Report for Unit 2, ASCO Spare Parts Kits for Scram Pilot Valve Solenoids AECM-84/2-0004 Re fe rences : AECM-83/0445, 8/5/83 AECM-83/0561, 9/9/83 AECM-83/0596, 9/16/83 On August 4, 1983, and September 16, 1983, Mississippi Power & Light Company notified Mr. Paul Fredrickson and Ms. L. Watson, respectively, of your of fice, of two Reportable Deficiencies at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) which MP&L had evaluated and determined to be reportable under the provisions of 10CFR21 for Unit 1.
These deficiencies concerned the receipt and lastallation of improperly assembled ASCO spare parts kits for the scram pilot valves.
This deficiency has been investigated and has been determined to be not applicable to Unit 2 since no field maintenance utilizing these spare parts kits has been performed on Unit 2 and no ASCO kits were purchased as spares for use on Unit 2.
