Letter from L 0 Mayer to K R Goller, USNRC, dated September 19, 1976 (c) Monticello License Amendment Request dated January 30, 1976 Reference (a) directed NSP to identify planned actions and formulate a schedule to confom to 10CFR50, Appendix J.
Reference (b) listed those areas where Monticello does not confonn to the Regulation and committed NSP to:
1.
Submit a License Amendment Request to revise the Monticello Tecunical Specifications to conform to Appendix J in those areas where plant design pemits.
This has been done (Reference c).
2.
Submit by March 31, 1976 a schedule for completion of modifications or request for exemption from the requirements of Appendix J in cases where testing in accordance with the Regulation is not now possible.
Due to the press of activities having higher priority, the report we agreed to submit by March 31, 1976 will be delayed. We believe that we can complete this report and submit it to you by May 5,1976.
