MONTICELLO N'fCLEAR GENERATING PLANT Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 NPRDS Reporting Status This letter is in response to your July 26, 1976 request for information concern-ing our participation in the Nuclear Plant Reliabl11ty fata System (NPRDS).
The Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant is presently a fully participating member of NPRDS with regard to failure reporting. All required failure reports and quarterly operating reports have been submitted, with the exception of reports for fuel failures detected during the fall 1975 refueling outage. These reports are prepared and will be submitted when the prerequisite engineering data reports for fuel are accepted by Southwest Research Institute (SWRI).
Engineering data for components associated with failures has been and will continue to be submitted as failures occur. Engineering data for the remaining components is being prepared by a consulting organization. This task is presently about 257.
complete. We have obtained the EDIT system provided by SWRI to expedite data in-put and acceptance. Submittal of reports should begin next month following final check out of the EDIT system.
These current ef forts should be adequate to assure timely completion of the data base. We anticipate that all of the engineering data for Monticello will have been accepted by SWRI by mid-1977.
