Dear Mr. Stello:
MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENEPATING PIANT Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 Status of License Amendment Request to Remove Inconsistencies Between the Monticello Technical Specifications and 10 CFR 50 Appendix J In a letter dated September 19, 1975 from NSP to Mr. Karl R. Coller, Assistant Director for Operating Reactors, Division of Reactor Lic-ensing, USNRC, we stated that we wculd submit prior to December 31, 1975 a License Amendment Request to revise the Menticello Technical Specifications to conform to Appendix J in those areas where plant design permits. We will be unable to meet this plannec schedule.
Work on a preliminary draf t License Amendment Request has been com-pleted and the proposed Technical Specification changes are currently undergoing review by the Monticello Operations Committee and the Monti-cello Safety Audit Committee. We believe that the necessary reviews can be completed and the License Amendment Request submitted by Jan-uary 30,1976.
