Dear Mr. Keppler:
MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PIANT Docket No. 50-263 License No..DPR-22 The Directorate of Regulatory Operations Bulletin No. 74-1 requested that we detemine if valves similar to those discussed in the Bulletin are installed or scheduled to be installed in the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
These valves are identified as 12 inch - 300 pound motor operated globe valves manufactured by the Walworth Company and specific 2 inch gate valves manufact-ured by the Darling Valve and Manufacturing Company.
Equipment records for Monticello have been reviewed and it was determined that (1) there are no 2 inch valves manufactured by the Darling Valve and Manufactur-i ing Company installed or scheduled 6 0 be installed in the plant and (2) there are no 12 inch - 300 pound motor operated globe valves manufactured by the Walworth Company installed or scheduled to be installed in the plant.
Item (2) can be further qualified in that the only Walworth Company valves installed in the plant are a 10 inch check valve and several 2 1/2 inch gate valves.
