4 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Parts 50.59 and 50.90, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to license DPR-68 to change the technical specifications of Browns Ferry Noclear' Plant unit 3 (enclosure 1).
The enclosed specifications reflect-removal of the head spray line. Because the modification is related to work being done during the outage, the specifications are being submitted as a supplement to the unit 3 reload license amendment request submitted by my letter to you dated January 23, 1984 (TVA BFNP TS 195).
Justification and safety evaluation of the changes are provided in enclosure
- 2. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91(a)(1) the' determination of no significant l~
hazards consideration is provided as enclosure 3 These proposed technical specifications are being reviewed concurrently by the TVA Nuclear Safety Review Board for Browns Ferry.
Class III fees of $4,000 was wired to the NRC as stated in my letter to you dated January 23, 1984. By my letter to W. O. Miller dated March 30, 1984, an

additional $8,300 was to be wired in response to NRC's fee determination of TS 195 being a class IV,. reference, NRC letter from R. M. Diggs to H. G. Parris dated March 23, 1984. No additional fees are required for this supplement.
