2060/L-660.0/L-401.0 Final Response to IE Bulletin No. 83-08 Ref: AECM-84/0308, June 8, 1984 AECM-84/0351 Mississippi Power & Light Company (MP&L) provided a final response for GGNS Unit 1 to IE Bulletin No. 83-08 and an interim response for GGNS Unit 2 in AECM-84/0308, dated June 8, 1984. This letter provides a final response for GCNS Unit 2 and supplements our previous response (Reference).
Response to Item 1 of IEB 83-08 Eight safety-related breakers with undervoltage trip features are planned for use in the RPS (C71 System) Electrical Protection Assemblics for Unit 2.
These breakers are General Electric type TFJ-175A breakers with type TFKUV7FS trip attachments. These are the same type breakers used in GGNS Unit 1 as described in our previous response (Reference).
Response to Item 2(a)
Since these are the same type breakers used in GGNS Unit 1, the previous response (Reference) provided for Unit I applies for Unit 2.
Response to Item 2(b)
This item is not applicable since Unit 2 is still in the construction phase. Provisions for calibration and testing of these breakers will be equivalent to the provisions provided for Unit I which were described in our previous response (Reference).
Response to item 2(c)
Since GGNS Unit 2 is not an operating plant we hsve no operating experience with these breakers.
