Request (TSCR) No. 53, Revision 2 is forwarded for your approval. The pcrpose-of the TSCR is to request removal of the Saxton Nuclear.Exper N ntal

. Corporation (SNEC) facility reactor support buildings and structures from the 4 Technical Specific.ations (TS). The !eactor support bleildings and structures consist of the Control and Auxilicry (C&A) building, the Radioactive Waste Dispnsal Facility (RWDF) building, the Refueling Water Storage Tank (RWST),

the earthen filled Drum Storage Area, and the Pipe Tunnel. The Containment Vessel-is not affected by this TSCR.

Also enclosed.is one-(i) signed copy of the Certificate of Service for this request to the Chief Execbtives of the Township and County in which the

facility is located.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91(a)(1), we have also enclosed an analysis in support of our determination of no significant hazards censideration. Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91(b), a copy of this lotter and the proposed change and supporting analysis which indicates no significant hazards consideration have been provided to Mr. William P. Dornsife, the des.ignated representative of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Additionally, we have also enclosed SNEC's responses to the NRC's February 6,1992 Request for Additional Informat!on. g

'SNEC 92 0007 It is requested that the amendment authorizing this TSCR be issued expeditiously and be effective upon issuance, in order to physically remove the buildings and structures covered herein in 1992.
