"GESSAR II Meeting Summary", June 7,1984 In the referenced memorandum, closure activities for the GESSAR II review in accordance with the draft Commission Policy on Severe Accidents (NUREG-1070) were enumerated. One of the issues defined in the referenced memorandum for additional input by General Electric included consideration of external events which have not been evaluated quantitatively in the course of the severe accident review. The attached report, "GESSAR II External Event Risk",
provides a qualitative assessment of risk from hurricanes, tornados, external floods, air craft strike and hazardous materials to the GESSAR II plant.
