Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter responds to Information Enforcement Bulletin Number 84-02 which required the replacement of General Electrio type HFA 51 Series relays in safety related systems.
There are a large number of safety related circuits at D.
C. Cook and we have completed an extensive effort to replace General Electric HFA 51 series relays with General Electrio
" Century" HFA relays. To the best of our knowledge, Oensral Electrio " Century" HFA series relays are now installed in all safety related systems at D. C. Cook Unit Nos.1 and 2.
These new " Century" HFA relays have been qualified for the environmental and seismic conditions for our plant use. The relays have also demonstrated by testing, an acceptable service life and reliability.
This letter has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of oontrols to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
Very truly yours, l
