The opportunity to share your views of Toledo Edison Company's nuclear activities as expressed by the Performance Appraisal Team is appreciated.
Your personal views expressed in our meeting following the Performance Appraical Team exit interview were also appreciated. Action has already been initiated in several areas to address issues which were brought to our attention.
Immediate corrective action has been taken where the proper action is administrative in nature (such as procedure modifications).
In some areas (i.e., response to Quality Assurance Audits) my personal attention will assure appropriate response.
In other areas, corrective actions will require a more systematic approach.
Interim storage facilities are being upgraded while permanent storage solutions are ideutified.
Develop-ment of appropriate training programs for Qu ~lty Assurance, 'rocurement-and maintenance personnel, and upgrading o' committee activities are areas where action must be more precise.
I waur to ensure root causes are corrected. While activities in many of these areas are underway as a result of our recent reorganization, your input will receive careful consideration in the execution of our plans.
All the items identified by your Performance Appraisal Tearm are being studied and tracked as our resolution of them progresses. Upon receipt of the formal report, you will receive our prompt reply.
